Seventeen-Level Inverter Based on Switched-Capacitor and Flying-Capacitor-Fed T-type Unit

To use fewer components to construct a multilevel inverter (MLI) with more levels and high quality of the output voltage, hybrid MLI is developed by combining double-mode switched-capacitor (SC) unit T-type fed flying capacitors (FCs). The SC used boost amplitude voltage twice dc input while responsible for increasing number levels. A total ten transistors, four capacitors, two diodes are generate 17 different As charged single source directly other operate as FCs, there no capacitor ripple accumulation (CVRA) problem, resulting in high-quality voltage. In addition topology, balance controller FCs cooperate APOD-PWM strategy. Compared single-phase SC-based MLIs, proposed has lower cost per level. Finally, verify feasibility inverter, both simulation model experimental prototype established. results show that waveform good dynamic response. measured efficiency above 96.5 wide range loads, maximum value up 98.36.
